Biography

A native of Tokyo, Japan, Yuichiro Komatsu has lived and worked in New York, Berlin and Vancouver. His work has been shown internationally and he has been granted fellowships and residencies from DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), The Banff Center and European Ceramic Work Center. He has also taught at Emily Carr Institute of Art + Design and Alberta College of Art and Design. Komatsu attended Parsons School of Design and received his BFA from State University of New York at New Paltz and MFA from New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University.
